More Than a Preschool

Gallatin Montessori School is a child-centered school community founded on the belief that early childhood should be approached with great care. Located in Belgrade, Montana, our school was created to offer young children a peaceful, intentional, and beautifully prepared place to grow.
We believe the earliest years are not simply a prelude to formal education. They are a vital time in which confidence, character, independence, and a love of learning begin to take shape.

We are a Montessori school guided by respect for the child, devotion to the learning process, and a commitment to thoughtful education. Our experienced teachers understand the importance of calm, consistency, observation, and purposeful guidance in the early years.
At Gallatin Montessori School, we seek to create an atmosphere that feels steady, warm, and deeply intentional — a place where children feel secure enough to explore, capable enough to try, and supported enough to grow.

What We Believe
We believe children are naturally capable, curious, and worthy of deep respect.
We believe education should do more than prepare children academically. It should cultivate independence, self-discipline, responsibility, confidence, and grace.
We believe the environment matters. Beauty, order, and calm are not extras. They are essential conditions that help children feel grounded, focused, and ready to engage fully in their work. 

Most of all, we believe education in the early years should be preparation for life.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a peaceful, respectful, and intentionally prepared Montessori environment where children develop independence, confidence, concentration, and a lifelong love of learning.

More Than Early Education
At Gallatin Montessori School, we view education as the beginning of something much larger. The habits children form in these years — concentration, responsibility, independence, and respect — shape the way they move through the world long after they leave the classroom.
This is why our work matters so deeply. We are not simply preparing children for the next stage of school. We are helping lay the foundation for a meaningful life.

A Personal Note
I founded Gallatin Montessori School in 2013 with a deep belief in the value of early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy.
